Music is an integral part of Childhood. In the form of Rhymes, every child get to introduce in the world of Music. Children love music! Whether it’s soft and soothing or a lively tune, children feel it both physically and emotionally. Music have an unlimited arena having no end.

Music is an outlet to stimulate the mind. It affects the child in all the areas of development right from the time he/she is born. Most importantly, children experience great joy and pleasure listening to music. With minimum effort, a teacher can bring happiness to children each day just by providing the opportunity to do something with music. Children respond to music enthusiastically and spontaneously without any inhibition.

It is difficult to imagine a preschool classroom having no time for rhymes or music. Think of the rhyme ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’, the preschool is incomplete without this rhyme and these types of Rhymes also help to introduce the child with celestial bodies and space.

It fosters children’s memory and provides a basis for imaginative play. It develops children’s language. Nursery rhymes help children express their feelings as they make facial expressions and gestures. It allows children to practice and develop coordination skills and gain confidence.

Always encourage your child to listen Rhymes and soothing music. Beside this , encourage them to learn to play musical instruments as this will create new connections of neurons in their minds and develop their motor skills.. Provide children different musical instruments to manipulate. Provide children different props such as streamers to use while they move to music. Encourage children to make different actions while they sing and sing the rhyme in a different tempo.

Singing and creating lyrics in the form of Rhymes helps to develop children mentally. Parents, Teachers develop lyrics according to the habits and interest of child and make them engage to learn something new through these musical activities.

Music is one of the key ways of learning in the early years. Music and learning in early childhood are integral to each other, one cannot exist without the other.
